The Bridgewater Academy Lions Club (BALC) was originally organized as a Lioness club. Chartered in 1991, the club consisted primarily of the spouses of the members of the Bridgewater Lions Club. Our most well-known projects include our annual Yard Sale, our indoor Antiques-Craft Fair- Flea Market, our annual Breakfast with Santa, and our annual BTV Cable auction.
The Bridgewater Lions Club is the original Lions Club of Bridgewater. Chartered in 1926, we have been providing the Bridgewater Community with service projects such as the Youth Fishing Derby, high school scholarships, fundraising events, building wheelchair ramps, providing a free holiday dinner for the less fortunate, donating money for disaster relief, contributing to eye research, collecting cleaning, fixing unused glasses that are distributed all over the world, providing free eye screenings and much more.
The Bridgewater Community Lions Club (BCLC) is organized around the concept of families. We recognize that not everyone wants to be a member of a club comprised of only men or only women. We know that some people want to serve the community along side their spouse or partner. Others want to volunteer with their children and teach them the value of community service. Some of our signature projects are the annual Town Cleanup Day, our electronics recycling drive, and our annual Christmas tree sale. Perhaps you’d like to help us out with our next community service project.
